Team roles
The five roles and what each can see and do. Who can invite whom.
Who it is for: Owners and managersEvery team member has one role. It decides what they see in the menu and what they may change; Kleenee checks this on the server too, not just on screen.
| Role | Sees | May |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Everything | Everything, including the subscription, inviting managers and custom roles. |
| Manager | Everything | Everything except the subscription, inviting managers and custom roles. |
| Front desk | Every room and task | Guest requests, check-outs, extensions, urgency, pets, found items and the minibar. Doesn’t plan or approve work. |
| Housekeeper | Only their own tasks | Starts, does and hands in their tasks; reports issues and found items. |
| Maintenance | Only their own tasks | The same as a housekeeper; work orders from issues go to them when they are the only one in this role. |
Who invites whom
- The owner invites managers, front desk, housekeepers and maintenance.
- A manager invites front desk, housekeepers and maintenance.
- Nobody can be invited as an owner. A business always has at least one owner.

When a role isn’t enough
On the Ultimate plan, the owner creates custom roles, for example a housekeeper who also inspects rooms, or a manager without access to reports.
To change an existing member’s role, write to support, or remove them and invite them again with the new role.
