What the front desk sees and can do
The front desk sees every room and task, passes on guest requests and records departures, but doesn’t plan the work.
Who it is for: Front desk and managersThe Front desk role is made for people at reception: they see everything, and change only what concerns guests.
The front desk can
- See the overview with every room and task, like a manager.
- Mark unfinished work urgent or remove the urgency (Priority and urgency).
- Pass on a guest request and choose who does it.
- Record a late check-out or an early arrival.
- Record that a guest has checked out, extend a stay or move a guest.
- Mark a pet in the room.
- Report an issue, and return or dispose of found items.
- See stock and the minibar and mark the minibar charged.
- Skip a stay-over clean when the guest doesn’t want cleaning.
The front desk can’t
- Assign tasks, change due times or approve cleanings.
- Edit properties, rooms, checklists, the team or settings.
If someone at reception also needs some of that, the owner can create a custom role, for example a front desk role that assigns tasks or inspects rooms.
The Guest requests page in the menu is the front desk’s main workplace.
