Link for an outside contractor

When a repair is done by someone outside your team, you don’t need to invite them. Send them a link to that one work order.

Creating the link

1. Open the work order (a Maintenance task).
2. Under Link for a contractor, press Create link. The link is valid for 14 days.
3. Send the link by Viber, WhatsApp or text message. It is shown only once; if it gets lost, create a new one.

What the contractor sees and does

• The unit, property, description of the problem, checklist and due time. Nothing else from your property.
• They write a note (optional) and press Report completion.

You then get a Ready for review notification and see the Contractor’s note on the task. Check the work and approve it or send it back; if you send it back, the same link works again until the contractor reports the job done.

Good to know

• Work finished through a link isn’t credited to anyone in the team and isn’t part of pay.
• Revoke link switches the link off at once.
• The link stops working when it expires, when the room is removed or when your plan no longer has this feature.
