Guest status in a room
A label on each room shows what is happening with guests today: arrival, departure, extension. How to change it by hand.

| Label | Meaning |

| Room move | A guest moves from this room to another today, or arrives from another. |
| Early departure | The guest left before the planned day. |
| Departure and arrival | One guest leaves and another arrives the same day. This cleaning gets priority. |
| Departure | The guest leaves today. |
| Arrival | A guest arrives today. |
| Extended stay | The guest extended the stay and is staying on. |
| Guest in room | A guest is in the room and isn’t leaving today. |
| Vacant | No guests today. |
When several things happen on the same day, the label shows the one that changes the work most: a room move, then an early departure, then a departure with an arrival, and so on, in the order of the table.
Changing it by hand
When the bookings don’t match reality, for example when a property has no connected calendar, a manager picks the status in the Today's guest status field on the property page.
- A manual choice counts for today only.
- Automatic (from bookings) goes back to working it out from bookings.
- As soon as a real change to a stay arrives (from the PMS, a calendar or the front desk), the manual choice is cleared and the bookings decide again.
