Booking.com calendar
Where the iCal link is in the Booking.com extranet, who can use it and which export option to choose.
Who it is for: Owners and managersBooking.com gives an iCal link in the extranet, one for each unit. Kleenee reads only the dates of stays from it. How to paste the link into Kleenee is in Connecting calendars (iCal).
Who can use iCal
According to Booking.com, calendar sync is only available to a property that:
- has at most 20 room types, with one unit in each type;
- does not work through a channel manager or a PMS (XML connection).
If you see Sync calendars in the Rates & Availability menu, the property has it. If not, the property probably works through a PMS or a channel manager: connect the PMS or ask your channel manager whether it exports iCal.
How to copy the link
Do it on a computer, in the extranet. Menu names here are in English; if you use the extranet in another language, you see them translated.
- Sign in to the Booking.com extranet.
- Open Rates & Availability, then Calendar. In some accounts the menu is called Calendar & Pricing.
- Press Sync calendars.
- Press Copy link and paste the link into Kleenee.
- Under Export options, choose Booked dates only. That way dates you closed by hand do not become stays with a cleaning.
- Press Done.
If you skip the export, you can finish it later through Complete set-up on the same page. Repeat the steps for every room type and paste each link at the matching room in Kleenee.
What Kleenee sees
- Dates only. Booking.com’s calendar does not tell a booking from a closed date. If you chose Booked and closed dates, a closed date becomes a stay with a cleaning too; cancel that cleaning on its task page or change the export option.
- With a delay. Booking.com does not refresh the calendar at once, so a new booking can take a while to arrive.
- No guest data. We keep no names, phone numbers or notes. See What guest data we keep.
