Inspecting and approving

Check a handed-in room, approve it or send it back with a note. How to finish a task in one step.

Who it is for: Owners and managers

When a housekeeper hands in a cleaning, the task is Done and appears in the To check column. Managers get a Ready for review notification.

Room inspections in a property

In the property details you choose Inspection after cleaning:

  • On: a handed-in room is Awaiting inspection until you check it. Only then is it ready for a guest.
  • Off: a handed-in room becomes Clean at once. You can still check and approve the task; the room then becomes Verified.

Checking

Open the task. You see the checklist with the time each item was ticked, and the photos.

  • Approve: the task is Approved, the room Verified.
  • Send back: write in the What needs to be corrected? field what needs fixing. The task is Sent back, the room Dirty, and the housekeeper gets a notification with your note. The pay amount is cleared until the work is handed in again.

Only managers can approve their own work. Custom roles allowed to inspect can’t approve their own work.

Mark as done

When you did the work yourself or checked it in person, press Mark as done on a task that is Waiting, In progress or Sent back. Kleenee takes it to Approved in one step, as if it had gone through every stage: the room becomes Verified, pay is recorded, supplies are taken off the stock and the linked issue is resolved. Checklist items don’t need to be ticked.

The Inspection task

You can also schedule an inspection as a task of its own, for example for someone with a custom role who checks rooms. When it is finished, a room that was waiting for inspection becomes Verified.
