Cleaning during a stay (stay-over clean)
A rule per property: how often the room is cleaned and the linen changed while a guest is staying.
Who it is for: Owners and managersPro plan and aboveFor guests staying several nights, Kleenee schedules a Stay-over clean by itself, following the property’s rule.
Setting it up
On the property page, under Cleaning during the stay:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Stay-over clean | Every day, every 2 days… or No, only after check-out |
| Linen change during the stay | Every 3 days, or Only after check-out |
| Stay-over clean due by | 11:00 |
Press Save rule. Tasks for today and tomorrow are created at once, and every night after that.
Which days
A stay-over clean is only scheduled between the arrival day and the departure day, never on the day of arrival or departure itself. Example: a rule of every 2 days, a guest arriving on Monday and leaving on Saturday gets cleans on Wednesday and Friday. When a linen change is due too, the task shows Linen change.
When it is cancelled
- The guest shortens the stay or cancels: stay-over cleans after the new departure are cancelled.
- The guest doesn’t want cleaning: the assignee or the front desk presses Guest declined cleaning today.
- A “Do not disturb” sign: see Do not disturb.
A stay-over clean doesn’t change the room status: a room with a guest in it isn’t dirty in the sense of a departure.
When the front desk extends a stay, stay-over cleans for the new days are created at once.
